California residents: one request to all registered data brokers

The California Privacy Protection Agency runs the Delete Request and Opt-out Platform (DROP). It lets California residents send one deletion request to the data brokers registered in California, instead of contacting each one separately. The agency says the service is free.

According to the agency's website, data brokers began processing DROP requests on August 1, 2026. You must be a California resident to use it.
